OTAR JORJIKIA

Georgian tenor, Otar Jorjikia has performed at leading house across the world including Teatro alla Scala Milan, Opernhaus Zürich, Théâtre du Capitole de Toulouse, Polish National Opera, Lithuanian National Opera and Opera Australia.

Highlights this season include Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly for Irish National Opera and a return to Grange Park Opera for the title role in Don Carlo. Other recent highlights include Cavaradossi in Tosca for Wiesbaden, Adorno in Simone Boccanegra for Grange Park Opera and Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly for Teatr Wielki.

Performances elsewhere include Théâtre du Capitole de Toulouse (Nemorino, L’elisir d’amore), Opernhaus Zurich (Ismaele, Nabucco), Opéra de Rouen (Adorno, Simon Boccanegra), Theater Basel (Pinkerton, Madama Butterfly), Festspielhaus Baden-Baden (Gabriele Adorno, Simon Boccanegra), Opera Australia (Don José, Carmen) and Polish National Opera (Duke, Rigoletto)

Otar Jorjikia is the recipient of several prestigious prizes including the first prize at the 2016 Galina Vishnevskaya International Opera Singer’s Competition. He is a graduate of the Tbilisi State Conservatoire.
