Guy Elliott is a tenor based in London where he studied on a full scholarship at the Royal College of Music. Since completing his studies, he has built a varied career in opera, song, and concert work. Guy has won prizes at the Wigmore Hall International Song Competition and the Copenhagen Lied Duo Competition.
On the opera stage Guy has performed internationally and with some of the UK’s leading opera companies. Guy’s opera highlights in the 23/24 season include Trouble in Tahiti + A Quiet Place (Bernstein) for the Royal Opera, Linbury Theatre, Raoul de St. Brioche in The Merry Widow (Léhar) at Glyndebourne, and creating the role of Antonin in the world premiere of Benjamin Attahir and Olivier Dhénin Hữu’s Paysage Dans L’Oubli at Saigon
Opera House and Hồ Gươm Opera).
Guy is an experienced concert soloist with highlights including Messiah (Handel) at the Royal Albert Hall and Requiem (Mozart) at St. Stephen's Cathedral, Vienna and a concert tour of Florida with Fuoco Obbligato performing a programme of baroque arias and duets. A committed song recitalist, Guy made his Wigmore Hall debut in 2019 singing excerpts from Fauré's La Bonne Chanson as part of the Wigmore Hall French Song Exchange. He was an Oxford International Song Festival Emerging Artist in 2023 and performed Beethoven’s An Die Ferne Geliebte on the opening night of the festival. Guy returned to the Oxford International Song Festival in 2024 to perform a full recital with Roger Vignoles. He is also a keen exponent of new and experimental music with notable performances including Stimmung (Stockhausen) with Singcircle at Barbican Hall.
Guy has a passion for arts education having worked with the education department of English Touring Opera on roles including Olly in Waxwings, an opera for children with SEN, and Orpheus in One Step Forward, a school collaboration. He has also performed songs from On Wenlock Edge (Vaughan Williams) with the education department of the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
