British tenor Guy Elliott has performed internationally and with some of the UK’s leading opera companies. Highlights include Trouble in Tahiti and A Quiet Place (Bernstein) for the Royal Opera at the Linbury Theatre, and creating the role of Antonin in the world premiere of Paysage dans l’Oubli by Benjamin Attahir and Olivier Dhénin Hữu at the Saigon Opera House and Hồ Gươm Opera. He has a close relationship with Glyndebourne Festival Opera; roles there include Raoul de St. Brioche in The Merry Widow, Colin in L’amant anonyme, Don Curzio (cover) in Le nozze di Figaro, and Witch of Endor (cover) in Saul.
Guy is an experienced concert soloist, with highlights including Handel’s Messiah at the Royal Albert Hall, Mozart’s Requiem at St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna, and a concert tour of Florida with Fuoco Obbligato performing a programme of Baroque arias and duets. A committed song recitalist, Guy made his Wigmore Hall debut in 2019, singing excerpts from Fauré's La Bonne Chanson as part of the Wigmore Hall French Song Exchange. He was an Oxford International Song Festival Emerging Artist in 2023 and performed Beethoven’s An die ferne Geliebte on the opening night of the festival. Guy returned to the festival in 2024 to perform a full recital with Roger Vignoles. He is also a keen exponent of new and experimental music, with notable performances including Stockhausen’s Stimmung with Singcircle at Barbican Hall.
Guy has a passion for arts education, having worked with the education department of English Touring Opera on roles including Olly in Waxwings, an opera for children with SEN, and Orpheus in One Step Forward, a school collaboration. He has also performed songs from On Wenlock Edge (Vaughan Williams) with the education department of the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
Guy has won prizes at the Wigmore Hall International Song Competition and the Copenhagen Lied Duo Competition. He studied on a full scholarship at the Royal College of Music.
