Praised for her ravishing, passionate lyricism, impressive range and effortless technique, Elin is a force to be reckoned with on the operatic stage. She recently made her acclaimed debut with Grange Park Opera singing Amelia Grimaldi in Simone Boccanegra, and returns to the house this season for Elisabeth in Don Carlos.
Her acclaimed roles include Micaela in Carmen and Mimi in La bohéme for Welsh National Opera, Rusalka for Garsington Opera and Edinburgh International Festival, Musetta in La bohéme and Ofglen in The Handmaid's Tale for English National Opera, Vixen in The Cunning Little Vixen and Nedda in I Pagliacci and for Opera North and Tosca for English Touring Opera. Roles for Danish National Opera include Tatyana, Violetta and Fiordiligi; and she sang Donna Elvira for Finnish National Opera.
Elin Pritchard sings regularly in concert, her repertoire including Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra, Bruckner’s Mass in F Minor, Brahms’ Requiem, and Fauré’s Requiem with the English Chamber Orchestra, and Mahler’s Symphony No. 4, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, and Mozart’s Requiem with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
The 24/25 season saw Elin perform her first operatic film role in the Welsh language opera Un Nôs Olau Leuad, which was broadcast on major UK and International platforms. Elin graduated with distinction from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the National Opera Studio.
