Keynote Artist Management is delighted to have been the producers of the soundtrack for the opening ceremony of the 1st European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan.
In a sumptuously imaginative ceremony, under the direction of Dimitris Papaioannou, the richness of Azeri musical culture was set alongside jewels of the European classical tradition, performed by MusicAeterna under the baton of Teodor Currentzis. Also featured were new music and contributions written by a range of contemporary composers led by Vangelino Currentzis. The ceremony was the culmination of more than 6 months of intense work, and Keynote Artist Management is excited to have played its part in producing and delivering the soundtrack. More than 6,000 athletes from 50 different National Olympic Committees of Europe will have participated by the time the games draw to a close on 28 June.
As part of the the team who worked on the Baku 2015 European Games Ceremonies, Keynote Artist Management is proud to announce that Teodor Currentzis and Vangelino Currentzis have been nominated for a daytime Emmy Award, in the category of Outstanding Music Direction and Composition.
