Moritz Gnann joins Keynote

We are excited to welcome our latest signing, Moritz Gnann, currently assistant conductor of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, which he conducted in successful Tanglewood and Symphony Hall debuts.  Moritz studied conducting at the Universität der Künste in Berlin and at the Musikhochschule Dresden, graduating with distinction. He gained further experience through active participation in masterclasses and through close collaboration with Andris Nelsons, Donald Runnicles and Christian Thielemann.

His career to date has also seen him work regularly at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, with whom he keeps a close relationship. He has appeared as guest conductor in various productions including opening their 2015/16 season with Berlioz’ Romeo et Juliette and will conduct the revivals of L’elisir d’amore and Billy Budd in 2016/17. After a successful debut with the Staatskapelle Dresden he has since been reinvited to the Semperoper for Die Zauberflöte and Hänsel und Gretel, taking place this season.
